The Taste of Kenmare

The Kenmare Food Carnival takes place for the first time this summer (July 13th-15th, 2012) matching taste with spectacle, food with fun, and the pleasure of eating with a visual feast. To launch the new programme, Kenmare’s top chefs have got together to host a gourmet meal on March 23rd, celebrating the town’s local foods and cooking talent. The Taste of Kenmare is a four-course meal which will be served at the five-star Sheen Falls Lodge and prepared by Kenmare’s Kitchen Kings. Sheen Falls’ Executive Chef, Heiko Rebandt will welcome Martin Hallisey of Packie’s and Bruce Mulcahy of Mulcahy’s into his kitchen to prepare a magnificent meal while chocolatier and pastry chef, Benoit Lorge will prepare an irresistible selection of desserts. The evening will commence with champagne and canapés and after dinner there will be an auction with a proportion of the proceeds going to the Jack & Jill Foundation followed by dancing. Tickets for The Taste of Kenmare cost €95 per person and include the champagne reception and wine with dinner.
