Set in a Cork household in the 1960s, the latest play, Over the Pub at the Cork Arts Theatre promises to be both “immensely funny” and “touching”. Featuring the Murphy household, the Catholic family of six, deals with a slew of problems concerning everything from nuns, to sex, mood swinging parents and finances. The play is an adaption of the US hit, Over the Tavern by Tom Dudzick, which has been transformed by Dolores Mannion to an Irish family in Cork City. It runs until Saturday, September 1st with tickets €15 available from 021 4505624.
