The warm weather has finally arrived, so what better way to celebrate than by digging out that tent and heading for the great outdoors? We’ll be heading for Mitchelstown next month for Indiependence Festival (August 3rd-5th, camping tickets €99 from tickets.ie) and Electric Picnic kicks off a few weeks later in Stradbally Co. Laois, (August 31st - September 2nd, weekend camping tickets €230, ticketmaster.ie) with plenty of opportunities for sporadic weekend camping jaunts in between. Here’s what we’re packing:
Be outstanding in your field (pictured above)
FieldCandy’s stand-out tents are designed by carefully chosen artists and photographers such as Terry Pastor (best known for the iconic artwork for David Bowie’s Hunky Dory & Ziggy Stardust) and pioneers of digital print in fashion, Basso & Brooke. We love this ‘Picnic Perfect’ design. At €617, it’s not cheap, but FieldCandy tents are built to last so worth the splurge for the design conscious festival goer. Visit www.fieldcandy.com to view the range.
Sweep away the day

The Body Shop’s one-step wipes for blemished skin remove make-up, pore-clogging impurities and excess oil on the go.
Cult favourite

The Australian cult brand favoured by models and celebs, Lucas Papaw Ointment has been around for over 100 years and can be used all over the body. Fans apply it to spots and, because it’s a natural antiseptic, it also works a treat on dry lips, sunburned noses and insect bites. Stock up at www.pawpawshop.co.uk.
