Volkswagen has reintroduced the Golf Van to the Irish market, with the 2011 Car Derived Van of the Year available from €16,290 (excluding VAT) at any VW passenger car retailer from now.
VW Ireland sales and marketing manager John Donegan, said the Golf Van offered “the best of both worlds; namely the comfort and quality of a Golf, with the load-carrying capacity of a light commercial vehicle”.
Based on the popular Mark VI Golf three-door passenger car, the Golf Van has load-carrying capacity of over 1,300l in the rear, and, with a 1.6l 90bhp TDI engine, offers fuel economy of 4.5l/100km on the combined cycle.
Popular with small businesses, the Golf Van boasts such features as climatic air conditioning, leather-covered steering wheel, auxiliary input for MP3 connection, and is subject to €200 VRT.
