Fota Island gears up to host EuroPro tour event

Some of the best emerging talent on the European Golf Tour will be in Cork next month as the Audi Cork Irish Masters takes place at Fota Island Golf Club. Former members of the PGA EuroPro Tour include Graeme Storm, 2010 Open champion Louis Oosthuizen, Marc Warren, Richard Finch and Ross Fisher and participants will have the chance to earn a share of a prize fund worth just under €45,000 when they taken to the redeveloped course from Wednesday, July 6th to Friday, July 8th.

“Fota’s reputation as a former host venue for the Irish Open only enhances the reputation of what we believe is one of the finest courses to have staged the PGA EuroPro Tour, and I know that the Irish professionals on our Tor are looking forward to the event,” Danny Nickless, Operations Manager for the PGA EuroPro Tour, said. “The Belvelly course will provide a challenging, scenic and exciting challenge for players next month and one we’re sure they will relish.”
