Dead School set for UK

As a warm-up for their UK tour in March, Dead School are playing a free gig later this month in An Bróg. Having spent an intense few months holed up, writing songs and honing their sound, the Cork group has created an individual, full-on soundscape; dark and unsettling, but by no means sedate. This will be to the fore when the band plays An Bróg on Wednesday, February 22nd at 9pm. Formed in August 2010, the band has developed an impressive stage presence, and played over 100 gigs to date. Dead School released two double A-side singles in their first 12 months: Frailties/Standing on the Edge and 3:17/Exude. The band’s third single, Incisions, is due out on Friday February 24th, with a debut album expected in June.
