Darina Allen appointed to safefood Advisory Board

Cookery school owner, author and TV chef Darina Allen has been appointed to safefood‘s new advisory board. Mrs. Allen, who runs Ballymaloe Cookery School in Shanagarry, Co Cork, joins eight other new board members on the 12 person board, including those from the catering, health promotion, agriculture and community sectors. Appointed by the North South Ministerial Council, the new board will support safefood‘s Chief Executive, Mr Martin Higgins in his work and provide advice on strategic matters relating to food produced and consumed on the island of Ireland.
