There’s two key fixtures for the Cork senior GAA teams this weekend, with the senior footballers lining out against Down in round two of the Allianz League this Sunday at 2pm in Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
And the starting senior hurling squad announced for the semi-final of the Waterford Crystal Cup in Templemore this Sunday at 1pm, sees a number of changes from the previous week, with Martin Coleman replacing Anthony Nash in goals, and Brian Murphy at corner back in place of Damien Cahalane.
John Gardiner will play at wing back instead of Tom Kenny, while last week's substitute Darren Sweetnam will start at midfield, alongside Pa Cronin, who started last Saturday's game at centre forward but retired due to injury.
Niall McCarthy returns to the familiar centre forward position for the match, with Cathal Naughton moving to the wing.
The full team is as follows: Martin Coleman, Brian Murphy, Eoin Dillon, Conor O'Sullivan, Christopher Joyce, Ross Cashman, John Gardiner, Darren Sweetnam, Pa Cronin, Brian Corry, Niall McCarthy, Luke O' Farrell, Eoghan Murphy and Ryan Clifford.
Admission to the footballers’ Allianz League clash at Páirc Uí Chaoimh this Sunday is €13 for adults, €15 for OAPs, €5 to students with ID, and free for under-16s.
