Cork City FC players are bound for the east coast today (Friday) for the team’s next game in its Airtricity League Premier Division Campaign, against Bray Wanderers at the Carlisle Grounds, kicking off at 7.45pm.
Also this week, the club announced that Avondale central midfielder and former Douglas Hall player, Graham McCarthy, as its latest signing.
City manager Tommy Dunne said that 24-year-old McCarthy had come recommended as one of the best players in the Munster Senior League.
“We are pleased to have signed him and hope that he can progress over the coming months,” Dunne said.
City had an epic game at Turner’s Cross last Friday, securing a late 2-2 draw with Derry City, after having been 2-0 down since the 23rd minute of the match.
Vinny Sullivan and Shane Duggan were on the mark for Cork City.
