The eco-friendly and low-cost benefits that ecars offer to the commercial sector had a boost this week, when The Cliff House Hotel at Ardmore, County Waterford, became the first Irish hotel to purchase and run a 100% electric vehicle.
The hotel will use its new five-seat commercial Renault Kangoo ZE as a courtesy car for transporting guests to and from surrounding areas.
Adriaan Bartels, the hotel’s general manager, said the Renault Kangoo ZE, with its pleasant, comfortable and silent driving experience and its environmentally friendly benefits, “ticked all the boxes” of the ‘green’ ethos at The Cliff House,
Renault is the only carmaker to introduce a range of 100% electric vehicles, including the Kangoo ZE mini-van, Fluence ZE Saloon, Twizy urban quadricycle and ZOE compact hatch.
The Kangoo ZE and Fluence ZE are available for extended test drives at Renault dealerships.
