Designworks Studio on Cornmarket Street launches its summer programme this week, with a number of free exhibitions by jewellers, goldsmiths and ceramicists. Ceramics designer Deirdre De Courcey kicks things off this weekend with her exhibition Conformation, which runs until July 13th (Monday – Saturday 10am - 5.30pm).
Deirdre, whose pieces are influenced by urban architecture, has recently undertaken an awarded residency at The National Sculpture Factory and has two pieces as part of the permanent collection at The Crawford College of Art and Design.
Tuula Harrington proprietor of Designworks Studio told Style: “We aim to engage with the public and various artists and designers alike, encouraging each to relish in the ideas and processes behind the work created and displayed in-house.”
All exhibitions are open to the public and admission is free. For a full list of exhibitions and to keep up to date with Designworks Studio check out www.designworksstudio.ie, follow Designworks Studio on Facebook or call 021 4279420.
