Angler's Rest darts event next Saturday

Angler's Rest proprietor Denis O’Mahony Jr is putting the finishing touches to a spectacular pro darts event at the pub next weekend, which he is billing as the world's biggest professional darts exhibition.

With a bill headed by eight pro darts players, the Denis O'Mahony Darts Memorial (named in honour of Denis's late father) will be held in a marquee on the grounds of the Angler's Rest on Saturday February 25th, with a guaranteed audience of over 400 and only limited tickets remaining.

The star attractions (including two former world champions) are Colin Lloyd, Dennis Priestley, Brendan Dolan, Peter Manley, Wes Newton, Terry Jenkins, Paul Nicholson and Adrian Lewis, and local darts players will have the opportunity to pit their skills against them, with the Denis O'Mahony Darts Memorial Trophy to be presented to the winner.

And Denis is currently trying to assemble the area's top darts players into a team that will take the pros on in a special team match during the evening.
